Service innovation is crucial in transforming healthcare systems, offering pathways to enhance patient outcomes, increase efficiency, and reduce costs. This paper explores the theoretical foundations of service innovation and its application within the healthcare sector, emphasising its impact on addressing contemporary challenges such as the rise of chronic diseases and the demand for personalised care. This study examines key themes, challenges, and strategies for implementing innovative healthcare services through a comprehensive literature review and case study analysis. The findings emphasise the necessity of incorporating new technologies, cultivating a continuous improvement culture, and actively involving stakeholders in the innovation process. This paper provides valuable insights into how service innovation can drive sustainable improvements and deliver value in healthcare.
